Find an opportunity, one search away

Opportunities and events for African creatives, translated into what they are, who they are for, and what happens next.

Dear creatives,

We know that the irregularity of income destabilises your creative efforts. “Policy” and “terms and conditions” need to get to the point. Opportunities keep going to the same people.

Exposure doesn’t put food on the table. Collaboration can be scary when you want to protect your idea. You’re tired of explaining what it is you ‘actually’ do… especially to bargaining clients. “Ok, I’ll find someone cheaper!” would pay your rent for the number of times you’ve heard it. You just want to grow as you keep creating.

We’re made for what you’re making.

The work doesn’t stop at the idea. You still have to find the funding, the residency, the right partner, the open call that closes on Friday. Finding these scattered opportunities takes time you’d rather spend making.

We love research! So we put what’s open to you in one place, and show you which ones you can trust.

Free to search.

Real people. Plain words. Open doors.

What we offer, and what we don’t.

  • No, AI doesn’t check our listings.

When a listing has the Checked badge, a person compared it with the official source, and the details were correct on the day we checked. No badge yet? We haven’t checked it yet. If something seems wrong, tell us and we’ll fix it.

  • Yes, we read the fine print.

The creative sector and creative economy are changing, fast! Our team breaks these changes down into the important details you need, in language a high-school student would appreciate.

Applicants shall furnish evidence of no fewer than one (1) prior professional credit. You need at least one past credit.
  • And yes, we work with creative organisations.

If you run a grant, a residency, a programme, an event or an open call, tell us about it. A curator checks it against your official source before it goes live.

Is it free?

Yes. Searching, reading listings and following links cost nothing, whether or not you’ve created an account.

Why create an account?

To save listings and get email alerts when new ones match your search. Searching never needs an account.

Which countries do you cover?

We start with Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda and South Africa, plus opportunities open to applicants anywhere. We add more as our curators check them.

Do you apply on my behalf?

No. Every listing links to the official site, and you apply there. We never ask for your application details.

Does it cost anything to list?

No. Send us the link and a curator will check it against your official source before it goes live.

Something’s wrong with a listing. What do I do?

Use “Flag or suggest a correction” on the listing’s page, or email us. A curator compares it with the official source and fixes it.
